A Book to Avoid that got me going

As I hung out in the waiting area of the third auto mechanic I had visited for my car issues, (story comes later), I happened upon a delightful read that I know will appeal to all of my readers, students and clients. This is THE book to read if you want to put your head in the sand, hide under the bed and pretend that only organized religion can heal all your woes. Don’t go to a therapist if you have any mental illness or issues, definitely don’t use any kind of alternative medicine in any way to heal yourself, and don’t think positively or think your thoughts create your experience in any way. No, it’s best to grab this book, get under that bed, surround yourself with guard dogs and firearms and live in the 1950s all over again.

The book is THE SEDUCTION OF CHRISTIANITY.

The back of the book reads, and I kid you not, “What are the dangers of the growing acceptance and practice of:

  • positive and possibility thinking
  • healing of memories
  • self help philosophies
  • holistic medicine”

I have images in my head of when electricity was invented. Did folks run in fear and claim it was from the devil? Did some still cling to the candle?

THIS is dangerous stuff and goes against everything I believe God is all about. This book got me going and upset for hours just flipping through it! What if you are mentally ill and need help? Of course we need to heal our memories. Better to walk around in trauma and pain? For me, God IS knowledge coming through to help me. That’s what is so beautiful.

I guess many of us are finally awakening and some of us prefer to just go back to sleep.

Reconnecting to Everyday Joy and Miracles this week

Back in 2005, I started Fairy Online School. I was burnt out and tired in my intuitive biz from all the sadness I encountered, and I was going through lots of psychic, expansion changes. I needed support for my sensitivity and quite simply, a little joy to raise my spirits back up. In came that delicious fairy energy, and with it, my love for Nature, and the discovery of my first flower essence I created to heal.

What exactly is fairy energy? I believe we all have it deep down inside. It’s that joyful, playful part we had as children. It’s interested in discovery and gets excited over finding an inch worm on a leaf. It’s grounded in Nature and in our environment and our senses. It’s also that little bit of silly that has you laughing at inappropriate times when you need the humor the most.

This time of year, I always think of my mom, who crossed over in 1995, but is still a pretty active, visiting spirit.  When I was growing up, my mom shared with me the little delights in the world–collecting tiny toys for the holidays; having a hidden stash of candy to dip into; noticing the picture in the clouds; following  that cute, little inch worm on the leaf; and enjoying a good story. It’s the little things we can focus on to bring back the joy into our lives to keep us afloat when everything else in our world is crazy, and boy, life sure has been crazy!

I told my good friend the other day, if this is really end times, I want to go out drawing, snuggling my dogs, eating pizza and cupcakes every day! That’s the fairy way.

Fairy Online School is the marriage between that re-connection we have with the spiritual world that is filled with miracles, awe, and support, and the creating and enjoying with fairy energy as we learn!

I invite you to join us with the many from all over the world reconnecting to miracles, to those we think we lost, to new friends of support this Friday when Fairy Online School starts its new session. Develop your natural, intuitive abilities while having fun, and most importantly, reconnect to you! Head on over to this page to reserve your space in the classes of your choice that start Friday. (Go sign up for my newsletter, Fairy Blessings, and you receive a special fairy discount on classes).

7 Flower Essences You’ve Got to Have for Summer

I really love flower essences. They are perfect for assisting in healing emotional issues. Essences will get to the heart or core of the issue you are dealing with. Out of nowhere, it would seem, you have “a-ha” moments and big lightbulb thoughts bursting over your head, giving you new understanding or a new perception to heal that issue.

It’s summer in the States right now and that means a good time to slow down and reflect.

There are seven really good flower essences that come to mind when I think about this time of year.

  1. Jasmine Tree. Summer is a time where you can relax and can nurture yourself. We used to have this sweet little tree that sat in our bedroom given to me by my dear friend, Jan. I made an essence from it. This tree’s essence has the healing pattern of nurturance. Taking the essence, I feel taken care of, comforted and loved. Recently, this essence was indicated for my basset girl, Emma Lou, who was recovering from an ear infection. She felt traumatized from the office vet visit and needed reassurance. I take it to remind myself to take care of me, not just everyone else.
  2. Lavender. Once I finally slowed down, I realized that my nerves were shot from all the running around and busyness. Lavender calms down my nervous system and smooths out all the jagged edges so I can relax. Ahhh.
  3. Red Salvia. We’ve had several eclipses, crazy world events and personal events. I’m emotionally tired this summer! I grab for the Red Salvia which is both emotionally calming and grounding. I can take this one as often as I need so I don’t get caught up in the tornado around me.
  4. Soaptree Yucca. It’s hot here in Arizona. It is the desert. When it’s hot and even muggy, my brain gets mooshy and it’s hard to concentrate and think. That’s when I grab for my Yucca essence that helps me feel clear-headed and focused.
  5. Candi Rose. Since it’s summer, I am in a creative mood. I need those creative juices to flow and inspire me. This is the one rose essence I made recently that really jump starts my imagination. The flower itself is so perky and fun; it smells like candy. When I think of candy, I think of toys and being a kid, and playing. What a great state of mind to be in to create.
  6. Turpin Cactus. In order to take a break in the summer, I need to lighten my load. I’m not usually good at this so this cactus essence assists me. Great if you are one who has too many responsibilities and think you can never take a break.
  7. Aloe. I like to use summer to focus on healing. Whether working with issues from the past I want to reflect on, or to clear up some health issues that I’ve neglected to take care of. Aloe is great additional support. Super for helping your body heal summer colds and allergies.

So, there you have it. The seven essences or nature tools I recommend for summer. Essences can be taken with a glass of water or drops placed under your tongue twice a day or as needed. What’s really cool about essences, is they are vibrational and non-chemical, so they are very safe for sensitive people. You can buy any of these at my Flower Essences for Sensitive page.

Featured card this week

T is for Tree Spirit. “You’ve forgotten the earthy side of your nature,” the tree spirit told me. (from the Fairy Healing Alphabet deck copyright 2011 Ronni Ann Hall)

Something  to look at this week: Tree Spirits are such wise and loving beings. This Tree Spirit is letting you know that you are too disconnected from Nature at this time in your life. You need to hug a tree, or walk in the forest, or sit by a pond. Symptoms you are disconnected:

  • you feel “boxed-in” and claustrophobic

  • you work in an environment where there is no windows

  • you feel cranky and irritable

  • you are not feeling creative or hopeful

Fairy task: Bring the outside in. Go hunting for fallen pinecones and forest treasures to bring into your home. Cut a flower from your rose bush and place it into a vase. Open some windows and let light in. Balance will be restored inside of you and around you.

Lightworkers, are we becoming too sensitive?

I am noticing with my friends, clients and myself, that we are becoming more sensitive and more psychic in our abilities. Are we evolving?

Have you noticed that you can pick up more now what others are feeling or even thinking? I haven’t been able to watch tv shows lately that are dark at all. I rented a copy of Supernatural. It’s a tv series I used to watch and enjoy. I physically hurt through most of it; there was that much violence and cruelty. This wasn’t entertainment. Maybe I am not the too sensitive one. Maybe it’s the world who is getting so numb they can stand this level of darkness assaulting our eyes. I can’t do that anymore.

After having that happen, feeling so sensitive, I first thought, “Do I need to live in a box then, away from the world?” Many of my clients come to me wondering the same things.

And the answer I heard this morning was No. You don’t need to isolate. I think we’ve always been this sensitive, some of us. We came in wired this way. But then we accumulated a great deal of mud and fog to numb over our sensitivity. What we’ve been doing is clearing out the mud and being who we really are under all that crap. So, then, the darkness doesn’t feel right when you’ve just gotten rid of a ton of our own darkness. You no longer resonate. Why would you want a part of what you just got rid of?

Our light is coming back. We aren’t turning into light. We were light to start with! And then we got involved in earth school and layers of mud kept getting added until we didn’t recognize we were light at all. We thought we were dirt. And probably listening to voices growing up telling us we were flawed in some way for being sensitive, we really did believe we were dirt.

So, no. You aren’t too sensitive. You never were. We’ve had to adjust to being here. But now you have no choice as you work on your healing to be anyone but who you really are. One big shining light. Perhaps we are all just lightning bugs.

I think that is kinda cool.

If you had a time machine…

If you had a time machine, would you go back and redo you life and fix what went wrong? What if every little thing was meant to happen, or needed to happen? But, what if you can shift the pain or lessen the blow? Or turn things around?

At this time of year, I wonder these odd questions. It’s Review Thursday, and I found a CD set from Sounds True that really intrigued me. I tend to pop out a great deal psychically and travel as it is, but what if I could direct it even more?

Dr. Quantum Presents Do-It-Yourself-Time-Travel CDs look quite interesting. An original $69.95 deal, I bought them for $6.95 in the thrift store. I figured they were meant for me.

There’s topics like wormholes, and our perception of time, parallel worlds, and when worlds touch. Seriously cool.

I will keep all of you posted on how I felt the CDs were and what I learned. It’s a science that interests me and will open further doors to understanding, and that means, more online classes to offer. 🙂

Banish the Blah Bubbles – Excerpt Friday

As an integral part of the Fairy Beginner class, I have students do a seemingly simple exercise that is very telling. I designed it almost 5 years ago, and the last few weeks I realized how important this exercise is.

For fun I am going to do the Banish the Blah Bubble 30 day challenge. I encourage you to do the same.

For each day I will create a bubble or circle (I created flowers from my Art journal pages for fun) and will write down what brought me true joy that day or gave me energy or a rise. This is true guidance from myself.

The interesting thing is what makes me happy, and truly happy, may be very different than someone else’s bubble. My “yes” may be your “no.” I am stripping away where I have molded, compromised, agreed to, and isn’t mine.  I may think I like walking, but maybe I’d prefer dancing for my exercise. Maybe others see me in a life of travel but I’d prefer a secure homebase to feel grounded and happy. My bubbles will lead me there. I made the above bubbles 5 years ago, and I am surprised by some of my joys and many have changed, as have I. I might not want the same things as time goes on either, but my bubbles tell me what I do want in the present.

Here’s my bubble for yesterday, which is officially Day 1 of my challenge. I dare you too.

And for what doesn’t work for me and lands on my Nasty Fairy list, I present:

The WTF Award

I secretly have a WTF award (okay, now it is not a secret), I give out in my mind each week to the stupidest words said to me or the behavior that was just crazy or mean. This week I give this prestigious award to the Weed Guy who is supposed to call ahead before spraying the yard with toxic chemicals. He left me an answering machine message he was swinging by not saying when and just hoped the dogs wouldn’t be out. WTF?? I do give him the benefit of the doubt because I do think there is some damage there from inhaling so much weed killers, but this about the safety of my girls that I don’t take lightly.
