It’s funny. I can’t cry easily. I could be welled up with inner turmoil and such pain and yet, nothing. But, if I hear about a dog in turmoil or pain, out come the tears. Can’t stop them. I watch the elephant paint and I feel such awe and joy. I woke up this morning and thought, I want to save them all.

When we talk to our Spirit helpers, we we often receive repeat images or symbols. For the longest time I would see a hopscotch board. After many misinterpretations, I finally did the smart thing and asked, “What the heck does that symbol mean?” I heard it meant “childhood games.” And that’s childhood stuff we learned that may not be very helpful, like, give to everyone yet it is selfish to give to yourself. It’s the childhood poop that gets in the way of us moving forward and being happy. So, now, if I ask for guidance and I’m having a problem, and I receive the image of a hopscotch board, I know that means I am dealing with old stuff.

Another funny symbol and image I receive (my Guides have a great sense of humor), are mushrooms. Mushrooms represent altered states. Cute, huh?

Sending a quick image to us is a great way for our Guides and Angels to get a message to us in a quick, easy way without having to say a lot. Cool.

Guilty Pleasures for supernatural lovers

I’ve been having fun lately treating myself to silly rewards. I am noticing a huge difference when I treat myself this way– a new balance perhaps, away from my over-responsible, sensible self. Here’s a few things I’ve loved and found:

from Comic FusionWe recently finished watching Angel: Season 5 on DVD and were saddened, maybe even a bit mental, about the season ending. (For reasons that are odd, I related to Ilyria). How exciting the series continues in comic book form! How much fun it was to go to the comic book store and scoop up a bunch of the Angel: After the Fall series. I felt like a little kid again.

Most Haunted:

A british series investigating haunts. This series still has to compete with Ghosthunters, but I am enjoying it. It’s a bit over the top and staged in some ways, but hey, it is ghosthunting and I just love the resident medium with the fav accent although he seems a bit fake most the time to me. If I take it in more like fiction, then it’s a fun ride.

Angels behind the scenes

Our Angels and Guides are always working diligently behind the scenes for us, even the times we doubt and think nothing is happening. Visually, I see the metaphor of a huge underground establishment, much like the one in one of my fav movies, Men In Black. just like in that movie, there is so much hustle and bustle going on on our behaths–a huge organization. I think if we knew, we’d sigh in relief and realize, hey, I don’t HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING MYSELF. Like we could. I’m witnessing this a lot lately. When a student comes to me and we both have what the other needs, or when a friend  delivers the message you  need to hear when you need to hear it. The other day I announced to my Guides out loud, that I would need some help spreading the word on my Sedona Fairy classes. I had hung out flyers and that’s all the energy I had to do with my busy teaching schedule. I told the Guides, how I received my students would have to be easy, and we are talking EFFORTLESS. I’d provide the fun teaching, they needed to provide the students. Exactly one half hour later, I received a phonecall from the local paper. The reporter had read just a little blip in the calendar about my classes, and wanted to do a story. Just from a 3-line directory ad! Miraculous and fast. But I needed to ask…(and VERY IMPORTANT be very clear and specific what I needed).

Slow Down

I’m getting the message from the Universe I need to slow down. It’s a bit hard when I am used to squeezing whatever I can into a day. I forget often I’m in a body. My teaching schedule has just doubled and I am learning the fine art of prioritizing. I’m not very good at it so it’s been a good laugh. My students must think I am just an absent-minded professor-type, when I usually have six hundred things on my mind that I am juggling. And like an addiction, I always am seeking other places to teach and other ways–I just enjoy it so much. That isn’t a problem, it’s being sure I schedule enough “in” time as I “out.” As a sensitive and being more introverted, I can in my excitement, be way too “out” and no schedule enough alone downtime. My first clue this is happening is cranky nastiness and of course, too much speed. The Universe made this clear to me when I received my first speeding ticket. Recently, I picked up a writing book that caught my eye: Chapter by Chapter. Ironically, my higher self gave me the message of slowing down also. I flipped right to the page entitled “slow down”, and that speed is a symptom of fear. That may very well be possible. I just think it is a clear sign of impatience.

Seeing Elves

Today I was talking with my dear student, Mary, about seeing fairies. She asked me what did fairies look like to me? My answer was I see the fairies as light or little blink lights, because essentially, when it comes down to it, that’s who and what we all are. I don’t see fairies as cartoon or fairy tale characters but as elements of nature and part of the very spiritual world we live in. Surprisingly to some, I am not a very airy fairy person who believes in everything. I am one who only believes after seeing and experiencing myself and skeptical until things are really proven to me. It is amazing that when you do open yourself up to this invisible world, you will be surprised how much happens “behind the scenes,” and what was once thought imaginary is very real!

I had one experience long ago of seeing an elf. Our brains can translate the energy we see into a picture and the Nature Spirits can show themselves to us (or send us a vision) the way they think we can understand. I was meditating on a rock in my favorite place in Sedona, Indian Gardes, which is filled with Nature Spirits. I wasn’t expecting a thing. I looked over and saw what looked like a little man climbing up a rock! It was an elf! It was my first elf sighting! I think my brain registered Nature Spirit climbing a rock (because I was connecting to that realm), translated the image into a picture which I would understand. Cool, huh?

Fairy Dust Soaps

I just received a wonderful package in the mail. I did a swap with Candi over at Fairy Dust Creations. Candi was generous with her goodies. There is tons of handmade soaps that smell divine!
