Psychic Premonitions and Fear

Coincidence?

As I headed to nearby Prescott to have a last visit with one of my closest friends before she moved, I felt a growing uneasiness. Yes, I had just made a long trip to Phoenix which was a little nerve-wracking and so I had leftover nerves, and yes, I was feeling very emotional as my car moved in the direction out of town.

I don’t like climbing hills or racing down them. When I am ungrounded, it gives me the feeling of being out of control. Come to think of it, I don’t like that feeling when I’m very grounded. There’s a part of the highway that curves upwards and although there is a guardrail, it does give you the sensation of flying through the air very close to the edge. (A little of what many of us are now feeling in our lives.)

As I accelerated up the hill and prayed I wouldn’t have to pass any huge trucks and have to change into the left lane next to the abyss, I began to feel growing panic; almost dissociative panic.

“Breathe, Ronni, Breathe, ” I told myself. “Feel your legs connected to the ground.”

I concluded that it was just all the emotions welling up inside me from my friend moving, and the high emotions of the past few weeks.

We had a lovely visit and I told my friend about the driving experience and then we talked about other pressing matters, like her move.

Heading back after a pitstop at the craft store (shopping therapy), I zoomed down the roads with very little traffic, which was unusual. I turned on the radio to hear one of my favorite old songs belting “You know you got to slow down, you’ve been working too hard and that’s a fact.”

I sang along until…there was huge line of traffic down the steep part of the road that bends scary to the left. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe.

Oh great! That’s just mean!

We were all inching along in single file. At least I wouldn’t have to worry about driving down the hill too fast and feeling out of control. It was time to learn how to use my lower driving gears.

We all rubbernecked as the emergency workers guided us around a mangled, black and white car. Hopefully, the driver was alive and only scraped up, I thought.

A little pass the car and the road was clear and I wasn’t that far from home. I could calm down now. And then it hit me. That was the area I felt those feelings. Before it happened. Possibly because I was in great fear I register the event about to happen or the conditions building to happen.

Coincidence? Premonition? Empathic hit? What do you think?

The WTF Flower Essences

The last two weeks have been crazy and emotional and well, WTF days. I grew up in New Jersey and have spent many days down the shore. Seeing boardwalks washed away and hearing family has no power has been adding to the crazy. Then there’s animal health issues and …you understand. You are going through the same crazy and wild stuff right now. I am so grateful for flower essences right now and some I’m guzzling! So, here’s

The top 5 WTF days essences I recommend

  1. SALVIA. Love this AZ flower that is emotionally calming and stabilizing during big upsets and stressful events.
  2. BACH REMEDIES make RESCUE REMEDY and STAR OF BETHLEHEM. RESCUE REMEDY is the cure-all for fear, panic and emotional overload. Bach Remedies are made with alcohol but you can dilute them more by putting a few drips into a glass of water.  STAR OF BETHLEHEM is wonderful for soothing out the effects of trauma.
  3. CALENDULA. Calendula is great for creating emotional detachment of boundaries, meaning, seeing what is yours and what is others. This has been crucial for me lately as I am picking up a ton of fear and upset and walking away with it. Us sensitive and compassionate folks can have our energy pulled everywhere we feel its needed, or  where we feel the pain of others. It’s okay right now to step back a little so we don’t get caught in the tornado, because then we can’t even be support for anyone else.
  4. ROSEMARY. One big thing I am noticing is that when I’m upset, I’m seriously ungrounded. I can’t think straight. Relate? The key is to feel firmly attached to the ground and strong. Rosemary is a super flower essence for pulling you back in, but gently.
  5. WHITE ROSE. It’s hard not to get caught up in the fear and upset and feel doom and gloom. We need to be raised up over the craziness just to function. That’s what WHITE ROSE likes to do.

Bach Remedies can be found in most health food stores. And the other flower essences I mentioned can be found in my Essence store here.

Ironic that Nature and the environment is the one acting out with the storms, and yet Flower Essences, straight from Nature, is what can help us heal and deal with those changes.

Transitions and Guidance

Antsyness

Many of my friends and students, and including myself, are finding ourselves in a transition period. You’ve cleaned and cleared out a ton of old beliefs, and other past garbage/roles that didn’t suit you, so naturally, you will feel like a different you. A different you usually translates, on the smaller scale, into a growing dislike for your current clothes, the pattern on your couch or even your haircolor. On a larger scale, you might be looking at who you hang out with, the career you chose, or the place you live. There’s an antsyness afoot!

Following antsyness can be a panic/now what? phase. This is a time of screaming at God and your Guides and the feeling you are standing over a cliff with no parachute. Not a fun place to be. But, it can also be an exciting time of exploration.

We all want to get there fast

I think we are being asked to explore what we want instead by making baby steps forward into our new world.

We’re not being asked to rush forward blindly.

Sarah, my 15+ beagle girl, is a great teacher. At this point, she’s very blind and has some balance issues but tends to zip around the house very fast bumping into walls, furniture and other things. It’s tough to listen to and it has to hurts. “Slow it down,” I tell her. “Go slow around the corners. Feel the furniture around you. There’s no need to rush. You’ll get there.”

Recognize True Guidance

I was looking through all my notebooks the other day. I have tons and tons of diaries/notebooks I keep for future writing. Diaries are great for keeping track of good ideas and guidance you receive when asking for help. The best guidance, meaning the truest and most helpful to me, was not when I sat down in meditation, but the isolated ideas or thoughts that came through in the course of the day. I’d be standing over the sink doing the dreaded dishwashing and I’d hear some great insight on my current dilemma as I reached for more soap. It’s easy to trust it’s not your own thoughts bombarding you when your mind is focused on something as banal as dishwashing.

I’d also have some whispers from my heart that when were reoccurring were very accurate. My first thought to go back to school came as a whisper. It grew until it was a gnawing push. Then it felt like such a strong drive that if I didn’t sign up for this program I’m in, I’d feel a deep sadness and regret.

Don’t Go Backwards

Going backwards to the old roles or where it didn’t fit at this point in the transition can be super-tempting, even if it was very uncomfortable. The past at least has dirt underneath your feet you can trust and know vs. a path you aren’t sure will be there. If you head that way you are going to feel it, usually physically (headaches, stomachaches, etc.) If you do press forward on the old path, you will also feel a deeper sense of antsiness. You feel  “the crankiness.” There’s a complete lack of patience or tolerance for what you dealt with before when you handled it with a smoldering, inner repression. Now you can’t do that one thing you really didn’t want to do. Your inner wise self will sabotage circumstances so you can’t. You may even get in trouble telling people what you really think as it just comes tumbling out with thought. Just recognize this stage when you are in it, to avoid further new damage.

And always go back to what I told Sarah, “Go slow around the corners. Feel the furniture around you. There’s no need to rush. You’ll get there.”

Another little video with dogs and birds

And introducing, my first foray into making a little teaching video with my art and writing. I’ve been playing around with animation. Very simple stuff, but it’s a beginning. Have fun watching….

Top 10 Signs Your Animal is Reincarnated

Emma Lou/Lucy

In my current newsletter, I talk about animal reincarnation, and how some folks will read this and shake their heads in disbelief. I am a truly believer after experiencing this in my own life and see it as one of the true gifts and miracles of living in this life. Many students and clients will ask me how do I know if my animal has come back to me?

Here’s the top signs your animal is a reincarnated old friend:

  1. At your first meeting, there’s a familiarity between you  that others may notice. (When we brought Emma Lou to the dog park after having her home for only two days, everyone thought she was part of our family for years.)
  2. There’s familiar mannerisms or personality traits that your prior dog or cat had. (Emma still likes when I hold her in a certain way.)
  3. You feel like you are with an old, familiar soul. There’s a strong connection.
  4. Some animals head straight for their old beds or toys with recognition.
  5. There may be similar health ailments or allergies that the prior dog or cat had.
  6. You will have interesting and recurring dreams of the prior dog or cat when the new animal arrives.
  7. You just know. (Trust that).
  8. An animal communicator gives you confirmation or validation. (This is often the case in my mediumship readings).
  9. Someone else gives you a clue. (We had a massage therapist come to the house to work on Foxy, our red dog, and when she met Emma Lou, she immediately called her LUCY, our former bassett hound’s name.)
  10. Your dog or cat has a distinct personality but sometimes acts out uncharacteristic behavior. (Emma Lou is the sweetest being ever, but every now and then she will fall into the growling/aggressive lunging when Sarah invades her territory. The behavior is like watching Dr. Jeckyl turn into Mr. Hyde.

With a little water…

Do you recall me sharing my little sunflower that I thought initially was a weed?

She got a little bigger.

And made lots of babies.

We’ve had lots of rain here and lots of rain makes sunflowers feel happy and fed. It’s amazing how much you can thrive and blossom with lots of nurturance and lots of what you need. We are very much the same!

Adding Schoology to Fairy Online School

I entered Grad School to grow my technology skills, partly, so I could expand my Fairy Online School. For our first assignment, we were asked to create a video of our experience creating a learning environment. I chose Schoology to house the school. Thanks to Melissa, Carol, Pamela and Dora who were my guinea pigs testing out the Fairy Online School Lounge.
