Sarah at Joyfulseeker has tagged me for a book meme. Here’s the rules:
So, here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
I pick the Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, the ultimate self-help bible for artists.
“…If you win, you win, if you lose, you win.”
“It is always that way with taking risks. To put it differently, very often a risk is worth taking simply for the sake of taking it. There is something enlivening about expanding our self-definition, and a risk does exactly that.”
Hmm, a bit of a message, eh? How very cool indeed. I invite the following to try their hand at this: my dearest Flyboy, Lolo, Angelbaby, Listenfromwithin, Dyan
Hey Ronni! Thanks for being such a good sport! I love Artist’s Way and find the quote to be a very good reminder. For me it makes me think of taking creative risks, moving outside my comfort zone and trying some technique or artform that I haven’t risked before. I’ve actually been thinking about that a lot lately. Hopefully, I’ll be able to generate enough time and courage to follow those thoughts with some action. :o)
